West had a solid rookie year without making a ton of noise. He finished with 21 tackles and a sack, then added another sack in the playoffs. I like how his 316-pound frame plays low and lets him absorb traffic inside. He is a six because there is already evidence he belongs in the rotation, and interior linemen often take a jump in year two. He still needs to create more push on passing downs and make plays outside his immediate gap before I see him as more than a dependable nose tackle.
Strengths: West has a naturally low center of gravity, good mass and the strength to occupy interior gaps. His playoff sack showed that he can occasionally turn leverage into pocket pressure rather than functioning only as a run plug.
Weaknesses: He offers limited range and produced only one regular-season sack as a rookie. Taller guards can keep him at distance if his first contact is late, and he must improve his pass-rush counter plan.
