The Bears don't need to rush Caleb Williams back. Keenum just proved this offense can win games with him running it.

Case Keenum Scouting Report (3)
Keenum's value is mostly everything that happens before Sunday. He has 66 starts, has won playoff games and has seen nearly every pressure look a defense can show, which makes him a useful resource for Williams and Bagent. He was only the emergency third quarterback last year and has not played meaningful snaps since an uneven 2023 stint in Houston. At 38, he is a five: excellent veteran insurance and a steady meeting-room voice, but no longer a quarterback built for extended action.
Strengths: Experience, anticipation and preparation are the calling cards. Keenum understands protections, can distribute quickly in rhythm and brings the calm of a player who has started in many systems and high-pressure games.
Weaknesses: Age has reduced an already average arm, and pressure can force him into floated throws or hurried decisions. He has barely played since 2023, so expecting sustained mobility or downfield creation would be unrealistic.
Keenum's biggest impact may happen in the meeting room, but he remains a capable emergency option. His experience gives the Bears a steady adult voice behind an ambitious young starter.
Strengths: Extensive starting experience, quick processing, leadership, mentorship and a proven ability to stabilize a game plan.
Weaknesses: His physical ceiling is limited at this stage, and he offers less explosive-play upside than Chicago's younger quarterbacks.
