Kirk is an interesting bounce-back bet. His 2025 in Houston was forgettable—28 catches, 239 yards and one touchdown—but that is not the whole player. He has more than 5,400 career receiving yards and has shown he can be a real starting slot receiver when healthy. His quickness, feel for soft spots and ability to work across the formation should make sense in this offense, especially if Shanahan can keep him away from constant contested catches outside. The concern is that injuries and last year's reduced role may be telling us something. I am starting him at a six: better than ordinary depth, but he has to prove the older version is still there.
Strengths: Kirk is at his best working from the slot, using motion and changing speeds through the route. He understands zone coverage, separates quickly underneath and has enough burst to turn a clean catch into extra yards. His experience at multiple receiver spots should make him easy to plug into the offense.
Weaknesses: The recent trend is the issue. He managed only 239 yards in 2025 and has not consistently stayed healthy enough to reclaim his peak volume. Bigger corners can crowd him at the catch point, and he is less effective when an offense asks him to live outside rather than giving him space and movement.
