Manning is still trying to turn athletic tools into an NFL foothold. The right next step is getting healthy, sharpening technique and making himself valuable in every coverage phase.
Strengths: Athletic upside, developmental experience and special-teams pathway.
Weaknesses: Injury-designation transaction and limited established NFL production.

Manning is still a projection. The Oregon background gives him the movement skills and length teams want to work with, but Chicago's depth chart correctly has him in a developmental lane behind players with more NFL tape. There is nothing wrong with that for a young reserve; he just has to win special-teams snaps and show that his technique holds up against pro route detail. A four reflects tools without pretending there is proven production.
Strengths: He has the athletic profile to mirror outside routes and the length to contest throws. Manning's college experience against high-level competition gives him a foundation to develop with NFL coaching.
Weaknesses: He lacks established NFL game evidence and remains behind multiple corners on the depth chart. His transition work, eye discipline and ability to finish plays against veteran receivers need substantial refinement.
