Skinner is still a projection, but a useful one. At 6-foot-4 and 220 pounds he brings a safety build you notice on special teams, where he has already made plays, including a 2024 fumble recovery. His college tape and production suggest defensive upside; the next step is turning that size and range into a dependable NFL safety role.
Strengths: Excellent size for the position, proven special-teams willingness and a productive college résumé with ball production. He has experience handling coverage and tackling responsibilities from a high-volume Boise State role.
Weaknesses: His NFL defensive workload remains light, so his coverage processing against pro offenses is still unproven. A quad issue made him inactive for the 2025 AFC title game, and he must prove he can stay available and climb the safety depth chart.
