age 34 and still catching stuff. 6 for 9 and a td vs houston. moves well, but 100 yds in 3 games isn't exciting. fine slot guy.
Allen gives Indianapolis a professional receiver in every sense: nuanced releases, a huge feel for leverage and reliable hands when the quarterback needs an answer. He may not be the field-stretching youngster, but he is still one of the better chain-movers in football and a terrific mentor for this room.
Strengths: Elite route craft, body control, hands and third-down awareness. His veteran processing lets him uncover against man or zone coverage and gives the quarterbacks an especially trustworthy target.
Weaknesses: At 34, his burst is not what it was at his peak, and his recent usage has tilted toward shorter-area work. The Colts need to manage his workload and avoid asking him to be the primary vertical threat.
