chargers are 0-3 and it's not all him but 4 picks and 8 sacks isn't it. arm is elite but the line and the offense just feel stuck. still think he's way better than this record shows.
Herbert is still the whole engine here. The arm is special, but the more encouraging part of 2025 was how often he created outside structure while taking a beating. He can make every throw and hurt defenses as a runner. Better protection and fewer desperate throws are the obvious ingredients for an even bigger year.
Strengths: Elite arm strength, high-end touch, off-platform creativity and legitimate rushing value. He processes quickly, attacks every area of the field and has repeatedly shown toughness under pressure.
Weaknesses: The 54 sacks and 13 interceptions show how volatile games can become when protection fails. He needs more clean-pocket rhythm and a healthier supporting cast so improvisation is a weapon rather than a survival mechanism.
